F. Colburn Adams commented, “It is said that great nations have gone to decline because their people became blind with pride, and refused to think right. A nation is always safe while its people think right; but you must teach the children right before you can have the people think right.”

If you want to have long-term impact on a nation, you must focus on the children. This concept has been used by great military strategists such as Hitler to the detriment of a society. It also has been used by communist nations to keep their people in a world of gray submission. Contrastingly, things that have been used to create much pain in our world can also be used to bring much good.

The concept of focusing on children can also be used in war-torn and economically deprived regions of the earth to engender positive long-term change. Nation building through the children is a passive and effective way to bring change.

DI partners with other locally based hands-on organizations to upgrade the teaching and book writing skills of the teachers living in the areas we work in. DI focuses on developing and multiplying teachers. Schools are a great way to open the door and share the love of Jesus with children. Where we have children’s homes, schools and teachers become highly strategic in preparing tomorrow's leaders among the orphans and child soldiers that we rescue!
