Planting Pine Trees for the Future!
This is a day for the church to find creative expression in all that God has given us. All things that God has created are good and holy. If the rocks can cry out, proclaiming Jesus glory, then so can the pine trees! Caring for our world by reforesting denuded mountains also provides ways for the poor to work and prosper. Are not these acts of worship too?
With an inexpensive and long-term investment in pine trees, you can help plant a church, partner with an orphanage, or even start a school! Young churches need creative ways to support themselves and also have resources to send teachers to neighboring villages to preach the Gospel. Orphans need provision to pay for school, and eventually, university. Pines help reforest the many destitute mountains of SE Asia where often, the beautiful hardwoods have been sold off. This program is a great way to help the people we serve take ownership for themselves and walk out God’s desire for them as people groups.
Pine projects run at least 8 year tracks before harvesting. This is an investment that requires patience, but it is very cost effective! For less than a dollar, a tree can be planted and cared for up to 10 years. At the end of ten years one tree increases in value over 100%!
