MORE AREA MINISTRIES
Kingdom Economic and Business Ventures
There is a shift of awareness in much of the church. People want to give where their money really counts. Giving where it counts used to mean finding a good ministry that was doing a lot of good sharing about Jesus or loving the poor. And that is really good. We should not forget this! But now days more people are wanting to really know their money is working smart too. Part of this is because the Holy Spirit is waking the church up and reminding them that business people are also rightfully people in ministry. They are really part of the royal priesthood. And what they do counts and is holy to God when offered from a heart of obedience and a spirit of worship.
Business is legitimate as a place of ministry. In order to work among the poor, train orphans in life skills, or see a village church to prosper (so it can send out their own church planters) it's best to focus on long-term economics!
Divine Inheritance has done several small scale and large scale projects in For example: The purchase and building of a rice mill and grain silo for a children’s home. We would initially spentd $3,000 to purchase and build the needed equipment. We would then buy rice in bulk and store it in the silo selling off the extra paddy at the end of the season to the local population. The rice is milled (for a fee to those buying from us) and the hulls from the grain and the rice bran ibecome food for pigs. Savings from buying a paddy and milling your own rice can be about 30%. For 50 children that could be a savings of $200 a month! In fifteen months your investment will have paid for itself and resulted in lowering the costs of running a children's home.
