HOW GOD THINKS ABOUT ORPHANS
Divine Inheritance's mission to children at risk is driven by three things:
- Discovering the Father's love by embracing children
- Raising up nations-changers by caring for orphans
-
Recruiting an army of love by rescuing child soldiers
We believe the orphan is not a burden but is one of God’s gifts to the church. By embracing these little ones we can gain revelation from heaven. We can receive understanding and experience in such things as: what a true leader is, and the Father’s love for us.Ministering to orphans is an essential part of church life.
We furthermore believe that orphans and children at risk are the spearhead of the global missions movement. Orphans comprise around 50% of strategic, unreached peoples. God’s kingdom always favors the least. Jesus encourages us to begin with the least. The kingdom will grow most explosively where we embrace weakness and lean on His strength.
Finally, we believe that God has a plan for the many child soldiers of the world. When we discovered the SE Asia child soldiers some years ago it was as though the Father declared to us, “The enemy of your souls has built himself an army under the nose of the church from these unwanted but as a Father, I desire them and I will train them as an army for Myself. They are My little soldiers of love.” Since then, God has led us on an amazing journey rescuing many of His little soldiers.
