SPONSORSHIP OPPORTUNITIES: HOW YOU CAN HELP

When you partner with Divine Inheritance to rescue and sponsor a child soldier, you'll be given the privilege and opportunity of getting to know that precious child through our website. You'll know his or her name, be able to see pictures of the child, and receive periodic updates, being blessed as you see how your generosity is helping provide love and care for God's little one.

RESCUE A CHILD • $150 per month

For $150 per month, your ongoing gift will fund the first-year process of rescuing a child out of the army, and creating a safe habitat for the child. Your gift will help us to supply blankets, clothing, furniture, medicine, and roof over their heads. It also covers the child’s initial time before we find them a permanent sponsor

When children are taken out of the army it usually takes one year to get them healthy. They arrive sick and malnourished with only the clothes on their backs. From plates to beds, DI provides them with everything, either by buying or making whatever they need. In most cases we buy land and build homes before we can take the children out of the army, so it takes a year or two of preparation to be in a position to even extract the children! Your donations help cover all of these start-up costs of rescuing a child soldier.

FULL SPONSORSHIP • $70 per month

A gift of $70 per month includes basic care of food, shelter, clothing and parental care, and education including school fees, books, uniforms and pay for teachers. This sponsorship covers the entire cost of taking one child all the way to where we hand them the reigns one day and say, “go do what God has called you to do!”

The actual rescue of a child in some ways is the easy part because it is a short-term commitment. Once in a sponsorship care program we have them many years. In that time we must equip them to be leaders with light and salt in every region of life. When the day comes for these children to leave us, it is our job to have them ready. Whether they are called as village farmers or city doctors, one day they will be moral leaders in their community.

BASIC CARE or EDUCATION • $35 per month

A gift of $35 per month includes basic care of food, shelter, clothing and parental care, or with an education including school fees, books, uniforms and pay for teachers. This sponsorship will go to half of the total support needed for a child. It will either cover all their education, or will cover all their physical needs.

Often the same teacher in the classroom with the child by morning is helping them in the evening as they do their homework. All the staff work with the children relationally, not just the house parents. It is a community affair. Devotions are held every evening where the children worship and pray together. These are often amazing moments as the children are so grateful to their Father in heaven. They know what they have been rescued from!

INHERITANCE FUND (Purchase an acre of tea) • $35 per month

A gift of $35 per month buys one acre of tea per year to sponsor an orphan long term. This is a unique way to give for those who want to see their money do more.

Every year another acre of tea is added in. After three years profits begin to come from the tea and go back to blessing and supporting the child. It’s roughly eleven to fifteen dollars a month in income. When the child is ready to move on to higher education, the proceeds can help pay their education costs. They also have the option of settling down and working their own plot of tea to make a personal income in the tea business!

BLESS A CHILD • $12 per month

A gift of $12 per month provides gifts and "extras" for occasions like Christmas, Thanksgiving and New Years celebrations! Simply blessing these children is one of the most special ways we can shoot rays of God"s love into their souls.

Some of you may not feel like you have much to give but most of us can afford to give $12 a month. And it counts! If you have a real heart to bless orphans this sponsorship might be a perfect fit for you. Most of these children have come from terribly difficult situations. Kids love parties and need to feel that they are special to. Heaven is full of celebrations. And, we should be giving children a flavor of that now…another window into how the Father loves them.
